Requirements: must be able to swim 50m (2 lengths of a swimming pool) any style on your front, and 25m (1 length) on your back. Must be 8years old or above, and keen.
Snorkel course starting in February 2005 is great for encouraging confidence in the water and good training for summer holidays. 6-8 weeks of mini lessons and training in the pool gets a recognised qualification. Cost is £50. The course is open to anyone aged from 8 to 80. Those under 18 years of age need to have an adult in attendance at all times, so why not have both parents and children learn to snorkel. Instruction is given by the club's 6 qualified snorkel instructors, with groups kept to a maximum of 4 where ever possible. Trainees are grouped by age and ability.
